Dr. Heather Hofflich is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at University of California, San Diego. She is board certified in internal medicine and endocrinology. She has practiced at UCSD Health System since May 2008, specializing in osteoporosis, thyroid, diabetes, primary care, and women’s health.
Also she performs research at UCSD in the area of osteoporosis treatment and fracture prevention. Dr. Hofflich is a frequent speaker at local and national conferences and meetings on the topics of osteoporosis, thyroid, and polycystic ovarian syndrome.
Dr. Hofflich received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. She attended medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and did her internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Hofflich did a research fellowship at Rockefeller University in New York City. Dr. Hofflich is a fellow of the American College of Endocrinology (FACE). Dr. Hofflich became an ICSD certified Clinical Bone Densitometrist (CCD) in 2009. She received a San Diego Top Doctor award in 2012.
